Daniel's Fast - Day 3

Day three hasn't been too bad - as long as there are restrooms around. I'm glad that we begin earlier to  try to get our minds and bodies more prepared before we all return to the normal routine of work and school. So, here is the run down of today's eats.

Breakfast: I made pancakes!! Of course they were different than I typically make. Today I used 3 ingredients: bananas, eggs, and cinnamon. We used coconut and peanut spread for our "syrup." LOL! Here are the pictures. As I have stated before, we do more of a vegetarian fast, so we do include eggs into our foods.

Lunch/supper: Steve and I actually enjoyed the day out and about running errands in the lovely weather (ha!). Since we were near the Oconee Connecter, we went to Taqueria Tsunami and enjoyed their edamame and garden tacos. Yes, everything was fast approved with the exception of the itsy-bitsy soft shell. I got the garbanzo bean salad as my side and Steve got the cucumber salad. It isn't easy finding fast items at restaurants, but it makes you really look at menus to find the options that are available. I wouldn't have ordered what I did if it wasn't for me being mindful of my commitment to the fast.  Since Kriz stayed home, he enjoyed a veggie/hummus wrap that we had picked up at Trader Joe's. Have I mentioned how awesome that place is to shop during the fast??

I haven't been as hungry today - I will have to say that all the water I have consumed has kept me quite full. That's the trick, but need to know where the nearest restrooms are! 😄
